Melissa is a student at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in chemistry
We spoke with Melissa Aguirre Pinillos on March 30th, 2022. Melissa is a former BioBuilder Apprentice. When she was in high school in Cambridge and Melrose MA, she also participated in the Architectural Construction Management and Engineering program. These afterschool activities helped her decide what she was most interested in doing, and taught her lots of time management skills and how to navigate public transportation.
At the Wentworth Institute of Technology she has merged many of her interests to major in biomedical engineering and minor in chemistry. Her co-op program led her to spend a semester with a local biotech startup company, Kytopen.
