you may think, oh, I really want to do research and then you go and try it and then maybe you don't enjoy it as much. Or maybe the opposite happens that you are not very looking forward to research and you end up loving it. So you never know.”

Pamela Schehu is a biochemistry major at Northeastern University

On May 4th 2022, Pamela Schehu spoke with BioBuilder Founder, Dr. Natalie Kuldell. She spoke about how she came to Boston with her family from Albania. Neither of her parents work in science related fields.

As a high school student at West Roxbury Academy in Boston, Pamela participated in the BioBuilder Apprenticeship program, which helped place her into a summer internship position with Codiak Bioscience in Cambridge, MA. As a college student she attended Northeastern University, earning a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. As a co-op student in the protein discovery group at BMS, she found her BioBuilder lab skills and internship work at biotech startup were easily transferable to work at such a large company. Her next step is Dental School.
