Fourteen years ago, BioBuilder started with a simple idea: help students do real science while they are in high school, and they will build an appetite for college and careers in biotechnology.

At BioBuilder, back to school season means “back to our regularly scheduled programming!”

ETSU hosted a special meeting of National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology (NSCEB). The Commissioners wanted to learn more about East Tennessee’s biotechnology hub and how regional stakeholders are supporting its continued growth, including workforce education.

It’s mid-summer here in the northern hemisphere, and while students and teachers are enjoying the sun and warm weather, some are finding time to squeeze in a bit of BioBuilder learning too!

BioBuilder’s newest curriculum, BioTechBuilder, has been making waves since its launch last summer. This impact is possible thanks to the teachers who are determined to bring life-changing STEM learning to their students.

The ai + biotechnology summit in DC brought together innovation and biotechnology leaders to showcase cutting-edge technology, explore policy recommendations, and highlight key factors essential to U.S. competitiveness in shaping a coordinated strategy for leadership in AI-enabled biotechnology.

This year’s BioBuilderClub “grads” as well as their teachers, mentors, families and guests gathered at the Ragon Institute at MIT to celebrate the accomplishments of these amazing biodesign teams, and to see the innovative biotechnology projects they have been working on since last October.
